Unwanted Medication

You need to return unwanted medication to the pharmacy or dispensary which dispensed it. If the Windrush Medical Practice Dispensary dispensed it, we can except it back and dispose of it. If it was dispensed by another provider, you need to take it back to them. We can only accept medication which was dispensed by us.

Excess Medication

If you find that you have excess medication, please let the dispensary know. We could take you off of your automatic prescription and then put you back on when your excess medication has been used.

If you find you are still receiving medication that you don’t take anymore, please can you let the dispensary know and we can take it off of your prescription.

Medication wastage is an environmental issue and costs the NHS a huge amount of money every year. Please help where you can to reduce this.
