Prescription Information During The Coronavirus Pandemic

Are you worried about who can fetch your prescription?

Are you worried about your friends standing in the pharmacy queue?

Then here is the answer ….

The good news is that we can arrange for your medication to be delivered directly to your door whilst the Practice is dealing with the Coronavirus issues.

Just e-mail patientgroup.wmp@nhs.net and please provide the following details:

  • your name;
  • your date of birth;
  • your address;
  • your telephone number (landline and/ or mobil);
  • the name of the pharmacy which you use and (if it has more than one branch – which branch you use eg Boots in the High Street or Boots on Deer Park);
  • the date on which you would normally pick up your medication.

If you do not have access to e-mail,then please do not hesitate to telephone 07801 745 768 between 10:00 and 12:00 or between 13:00 and 15:30. At other times, just leave your number on the answerphone there and we will call you back.

  • NB: if you are not age exempt (under 16 or over 60)*

Please contact the pharmacy first to either pay over the phone or advise the pharmacy of their exemption before contacting us to ask to be put on the list for collection.

The information will be logged and you will receive confirmation.

It will then passed on to the groups who are physically collecting and delivering the medication.

If you have a repeat prescription, then order it in the usual way either electronically or by ringing the Practice.

Volunteers will leave the medication at your front (or main access) door.

The expansion of this service is being wonderfully provided by volunteers from the Scouts and the Land Army, to whom we are really grateful.
