NHS Podiatry Services

The NHS Podiatry Service in Oxfordshire is staffed by registered  practitioners. Their main role is to provide treatment for three specialist areas of care:

  • People with diabetes and/or other circulatory or neurological conditions that can affect foot health.
  • People with in-growing toe nails that will either need conservative or surgical treatment to remedy the condition.
  • People with painful foot problems caused by anomalies in the way they walk.

Should you wish to apply for NHS treatment please consult your GP and ask for a referral.

If you are not eligible for NHS Podiatry treatment, you may wish to consult a Private Podiatrist. Details of Podiatrists practicing in the area can be obtained from the Oxfordshire Local Involvement Network on 01865 883488. You can look in Yellow Pages, or at www.yell.com.  Details of local podiatrists can also be found on www.feetforlife.org.
