Do you have a cold or mild flu-like symptoms?

Is it ‘flu’? ‘Covid’? RSV?

Help contribute to public health surveillance of respiratory viruses in the UK and receive a free swab which will test for influenzas, covid-19, RSV and several other common viral causes of upper respiratory symptoms.

Windrush Medical Practice is offering free respiratory viral testing for individuals with mild flu-like symptoms for less than 10 days.

Please check if you are eligible and order a test kit for nose and throat swab to be delivered to your home address.

You will need your NHS number to be able to complete the test kit.

If you are unwell requiring medical attention, please phone the practice during opening hours, or 111 when the Windrush Medical Practice is closed.

The result will be sent to you by text message within a week to 10 days.

The result will be used anonymously to help inform public health about circulating viruses.

Are you over 40 years old and wish to request a test to be done at the health centre with a same day result sent by text to your phone? (You will need to come in and sign a consent form)

You are not eligible

Unfortunately, you do not meet the criteria to take part in the virus research programme.
